One of my core values is the love and care of animals – and being a vet was my only career choice! After graduation from the University of Queensland and early GP work, I finished a residency in feline medicine (University of Liverpool), concurrently with the RCVS Cert in Small Animal Medicine and the ANZCVS Membership in Medicine of Cats.
Big passions for clinical teaching, undergraduate education & all aspects of small animal medicine followed. I held various clinical teaching roles and completed the Grad Cert in Clinical Education while working at the University of Queensland Vet Teaching Hospital.
A sea change and career break lead to a return to private practice and an exciting new opportunity in the post-graduate veterinary education space, working with the Improve International Group.
In late 2018 Animal Emergency Australia created the education arm, Veterinary Education and Training Pty Ltd (VE&T) to carry the Improve Veterinary Education licence.
I am now VE&T Director of Operations and have seen our small but mighty VE&T Team grow our skills and passion in the veterinary education space.
My goal is that education should be meaningful, practical and give opportunity for career engagement, professional growth AND better care for our patients!

Originally from Christchurch, I’ve been on the Sunshine Coast with my family for more than 10 years. My husband and I have two fabulous daughters, but we are mostly ruled by our two cats and a dog.
As your program manager I’m here to help you make the most of your program, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch with any questions or issues, no matter how big or small, before and after you join your program! I manage and support our Moodle and online learning network, with a focus on our flagship veterinary programs in Medicine, Emergency & Critical Care and Surgery, plus all things Nursing, Vet Tech and more.
I also help support our speakers, admin and marketing teams; reply to lots of emails, shuffle lots of paperwork and anything else I can turn my hand to!
I’ve worked in education for more than 20 years, across many different roles and industries, and what I love about Improve is the passion the team has for educating and empowering the veterinary community.

Growing up in the Amazon in Brazil, I spent my childhood rescuing and rehoming stray cats, a habit that filled me with purpose (and turned my parents into reluctant zookeepers). It’s this same lifelong connection to animal care that makes working with Improve Veterinary Education so rewarding. It feels great to contribute to meaningful learning experiences in a field that aligns with my values.
With a Bachelor of Business and over a decade of experience in Education, I specialise in ensuring programs run smoothly and participants feel supported every step of the way. I’m passionate about managing the details and putting my organisational skills to good use, so others can focus on getting the most out of their experience.
Based on the Sunshine Coast, I’m the happiest when I’m outdoors with my other half exploring the region’s incredible wildlife and natural beauty. On weekends, you’ll find me stand-up paddle boarding, hiking, relaxing at the beach and enjoying everything that makes life on the coast so special.

I am delighted to be your Business Administration Coordinator. Working with Improve Veterinary Education has allowed me to combine my passions of health science, education and animals. I have been enthusiastic about healthcare my whole life, completing a degree in Health Science in 2006. My career has been primarily focussed on education and I have more than 20 years’ experience in delivering a high quality educational experience to health care professionals around the world.
As the owner of four beautiful dogs, I have personally experienced the importance of high-quality veterinary care and am very passionate about contributing to this mission. My role is to ensure the smooth running of administration of our business behind the scenes with a particular focus on financial management. I am available to discuss your finance options in relation to any of our courses. When I’m not working on veterinary education you will find me competing, training and instructing dog agility with my Shelties, Astro, Aura and Bliss.

I joined the Improve Veterinary Education team in 2025. Since starting in the role, I’ve been inspired by the passion that veterinary professionals have for this industry.
I graduated with a Bachelor of German and Business (Hons) in the UK back in 1999. My studies have extended beyond Linguistics and Business, to include Art & Design, Art Therapy, Yoga, Farming and Nutrition as these are all areas I am interested in (I love to learn!). I have over 17 years’ experience in media and marketing, across many sectors including Education and Healthcare. My career has taken me around Australia and overseas. Marketing is an opportunity for me to work with amazing people, learn and grow every day as well as think strategically and tap into my creativity.
I manage all marketing campaigns for Improve, and I work closely with leadership to ensure that marketing communications and initiatives are integrated, effective, results driven and on brand. I am excited to be part of this wonderful and passionate team at Improve Veterinary Education.
I live on the Sunshine Coast with my husband and three children, 2 dogs and 15 chickens. I love the arts, hikes in nature, exercising and spending time enjoying delicious healthy meals with family and friends.
